July 5th Summertime Shape Up

-30 minute total body workouts.
-At least 1 cheat meal per week.

My goal is to teach you how to make a lifestyle change, not a crash diet, or something you feel deprived by! My goal is to give you tools that will last forever!

Success Leaves Clues

This is by far one of the most emotional posts I’ve ever done. Dustin and I are sitting here just staring at the screen. Do we hit enter…or not? — well here it is.
Feelings of PURE JOY, feelings of anxiety and fear over what people might think or say, feelings of OVERWHELM because never in my life did I think I alone would earn this kind of money by doing a jobthat I would literally do for FREE. Going from a stay at home mom for 7 years to a woman who set out to earn just a little extra cash to help put groceries on the table… This has become my REALITY in less than 3 years. 
And since last March 2015- the monthly income has doubled.

I realized this after almost NOT posting it.
If I don’t talk about it…
If I don’t show you…
You’d have NO IDEA that this is available to YOU too.
I believe if I DIDN’T SHOW you that I am doing YOU a disservice because this is not about the money– these numbers represent LIVES CHANGED. This is less than 2 years of dedication to be a servant leader and how I started— was committing to change myself.

This post is not to brag. Gosh- it has take me almost two years to even consider doing this! It is SO HARD for me to talk about money. I used to joke to my hubby {seriously JOKE around}- that one day I would make more money than he did. I planned to always be a stay at home mom/home maker– so that was always the JOKE- because we know that as mom’s we SHOULD get paid a lot 😉 but we don’t!!

Let me start by saying this:

1. I started this business with less than 140 fb friends. No social media background. I was a SKEPTIC and it took a waived sign up fee to get me to finally ‘pull the trigger’ and do this.
2. I built this from my kitchen table- early in the morning right after my workouts until my kids woke up. Then during quiet/nap time and then after they went to bed. I have never missed family time and I decide when I work.
3. I built this business with passion. I built this business with MANY failures. I built this business while LIVING OUTSIDE OF MY COMFORT ZONE! I built this business while CHANGING into a better person everyday.
4. I could have make MANY excuses why I should have just quit. Stopped. Not kept going when I got knocked down. I don’t have an upline who helps contribute to my business center. I have built my ENTIRE organization MYSELF. I am BLESSED that God has given me the opportunity- I have had a VISION since the day I started and I am NEVER going to quit. <3

What is the one thing I think has made the biggest impact?

Consistency… through the times when others would have quit is WHY I am where I am.

Let’s break it down.

I have my background in Sports Management with a concentration in Health and Wellness {Ironic that I am now a Health and Wellness Coach and I don’t even need my Bachelor’s Degree for it 😉 }

I have only ever been a student (it took me 8 years to get my bachelor’s degree… yep. I’m that girl) and a wife/stay at home mom! I’ve never had a ‘real’ full time job in my life.

I had tried like every home business ever. –I was going to make it BIG selling Cutco knives when I was 19 (yeah. right.) I have done the whole Mary Kay thing- 31 Bags- Avon and gosh– i think one of those skincare things for like a day… I HAD NO PASSION FOR ANY OF THOSE!!

3 years ago- my husband and I had a hard reality hit- we were STRUGGLING financially– which in turn meant had our marriage on the rocks… big time. We sold my car and went to one vehicle, we started to downsize with what we could and I was looking for a job because we were scared we were going to have to file bankruptcy…

Then- this coaching opportunity came up… and well. The rest is history. I made a CHOICE to create a future for my kids that we could only dream of. Now- the dreams are becoming reality.

With coaching — I jumped in BELIEF first. I learned. I failed. I grew. I failed. I kept going.

Who can do this job?

ANYONE. Let me say that again.
ANYONE.

Anyone who is okay with being WEIRD like me. Anyone who is okay with going into the unknown and just diving in. head first. and building wings on the way down.
ANYONE WHO WANTS TO CHANGE MORE THAN THEY WANT TO STAY THE SAME!! That’s all it takes. A FIRE in your belly to do something MORE.

It takes time. It takes consistency. It take vision. It takes believe. It takes OVERCOMING FEAR. It takes raising some eyebrows. It takes confidence. It takes patience.
This is a MARATHON. NEVER a SPRINT.

I create a system of duplication. I teach every one of my coaches HOW to do this. I have tested these systems and they are PROVEN to WORK when YOU do the work. I set goals and created benchmarks to achieve those goals. I teach my team the same thing.

And you know- it’s funny how life works!!
 
How one day you are completely self conscious and care what other people think of your every move
 
–> and then the next day- you wake up and say
 
‘I’m ready to be ME and do my own thing.– and NOT CARE about the opinions of others!’
 
I totally dig the quote –> ‘Don’t lose sleep over the opinion of sheep.’
 
My whole life revolves around sharing myself- my story- my family and my life!!! I’ve created something over the last three years that some people take an entire lifetime to build or even look for!!!
 
Don’t make life so hard!!!! Just get out of your comfort zone and follow your HEART!
 
Did I know 3 years ago that I could potentially:
 
1. Help start a ripple effect of changing lives- just by DECIDING to change my own.
 
2. Earn enough money in my first month of my business to pay for my groceries?
 
3. Pay off over $140,000. worth of non mortgage debt?
 
4. Grow an organization larger than some towns?
 
5. Earn a title of 10 star diamond- executive leader- mid 6 figure earner, top coach of MS in 2014&2015, public speaker and 2x elite?
 
6. Bring my husband home from the military after serving for 13 YEARS- 4 of which we were apart because of deployments- to now have the ability to stay stay at home so we can both raise our daughters?
 
7. Work 100% mobile- from wherever I want to be— yes- that means vacations a lot.
 
8. Have abs.?? 󾌴❤️✌🏻️
 
NOPE. 3 years ago I had no idea I would really do all of this stuff!!!
 
But- I went for it.
I listened to GOD and had this BELIEF in MYSELF.
 
I started taking daily action steps forward.
 
Well.
 
I’ve crushed those things! And now I’m working on the BIGGEST GOAL OF MY LIFE!!!

 

So WHY am I posting this? Why now?

Because I want to PAY IT FORWARD. I WANT to encourage and shine light for anyone- but my goal.. if I can inspire ONE PERSON- then this post will be worth it!
Because it’s my sincere hope that you take a deep breath and say “Why NOT me?” Why not go for it? Why not triple my income? Why not go for paid for vacations? Why not begin a business that could blossom into financial freedom for myself and family? Why not do the thing that most won’t? Why not be my own boss and make my own hours.

Time Management Tips To Help You Get and Stay On Track

 

 
When it comes to daily tasks, people often find it difficult to organize and manage their time because they don’t know exactly what to do. More often say things like: “Where do I put my time, energy and effort into my business?” “What do I do first, there’s so many things that I want to do and accomplish?” “I work full-time, I have 2 kids, I take care of my parents, I work 2-3 jobs or I travel.”

 

 

When it comes to me and my success as a coach, I always get statements like: “You have more time because you are a stay-at-home mom.” or “Because this is your full-time business” or my new favorite ‘because Dustin is at home with you full time now.”  I just laugh at all of these because it still wasn’t easy to build this business.  No matter what your life looks like, there will always be obstacles that can potentially prevent you from success.  It’s your own beliefs that determine your success or lack there of.  If you believe you have time then you will find the time for the things that matter the most. If you tell yourself you don’t, then you won’t. End of story!

As a new coach, it was mass chaos in my house all day- everyday. My babes were not in school yet. One was 3 and the other was 5. My husband was in the military and if he wasn’t deployed for 7 months at a time then he was at the base from 6 am until about 6 pm M-F and some weekends.  My oldest didn’t take naps very much and my youngest was very active and into everything. I seriously never had a moment to myself unless if they were sleeping- which was pretty much only at bedtime. I was the sole caretaker most of the time. Our nearest family member lived 400 miles away and I only knew a few people in my area because we had moved across the country right before I started this business. I was on the clock 24/7.

It was mentally and physically exhausting to be a full time stay at home mom — Then, throw in my personal transformation: I worked so hard to change the way we eat, change our nutrition and finding time to workout. Add the fact that I was also learning a brand new business. I mean, I didn’t all of a sudden sign up to be a coach and send my kids off to daycare. I was doing what the rest of you were doing. I took my phone everywhere I went because when I started my business I didn’t even have a computer!! I could only work from my phone. And by my 3rd month in the business I had earned enough money to pay for 1/2 of the  laptop I really wanted- so my hubby agreed to match that and buy it for me. Then I took my laptop everywhere we would go: and most of the time you would find me at the kitchen table, while the kids Screen Shot 2016-04-01 at 4.10.38 PMwere eating breakfast; or on the couch — while the kids were taking their nap- learning and applying some info in an hour or two a day.

 

 

I had sticky notes for my ideas everywhere. I had notebooks where I would write down notes as I listened to podcasts. It was a mess! I was a mess because I was still learning and trying to figure out how to make this business work. I knew that if I didn’t get a system FAST I was going to drown and most likely my husband was going to leave and I was going to fall apart.  Does this sound familiar to many of you?  I had to take CONTROL of the situation and get a system in place.

The inability to manage your time and in turn, sacrificing a lot is no one’s fault, but your own.  So lets take some time today to chat about the things that helped me regain control of my life and my new business venture. And when I feel like I am getting off track- I put my foot on the brakes and I always revert back to these methods! It’s EASY to get off track when we are not intentional with what we are doing!

 

Time management Tips I Live by:

 

 
1. Planning. This is the most important thing that you can do in order to take the step forward in managing your time. I sit down every Sunday to plan out my week.  It’s not something that should consume every minute of every single day, but it should be the cornerstone of your life and business.

 

How:

  • I take a good look at my Google calendar and first off, check where I need to be as a parent. I used to be a pen and paper kind of girl, but I love Google calendar because it syncs to my computer and even to Dustin’s phone.
  • I then add my workout time on my calendar
  • I plugin my Beachbody business time – you need to make sure that you really make time for your business; don’t just wait for it to fit your schedule — create that time for your business.

 

 
2. Early Bird Catches The Worm- Rise and Grind!!!

If you use your phone as your alarm, put it far and away from your bed. The distance should be enough to get you started. Personally, I tell myself “GET UP GET UP GET UP” every step of the way. Never put it (phone) beside your bed because you’re just going to end up putting the alarm on snooze.

Make that sacrifice at least 3 times a week if you want to grow and have a successful business. Wake up and get your workout done or have an hour of quiet or personal time.

If you can start your day before the rest of the world, you are so much more effective. I find that I can go through my emails faster because there are no distractions: people aren’t needing me in other areas of the house; nobody is pinging me on social media. I can focus on getting through the tasks that I need to do. I can have that window of clear and focused time.

 

 
3. There will be a sacrifice.

If you are going to do something to make your business a success, you have to make sacrifices. For example: I say yes to my success club every month and say no to watching my favorite TV shows live — they’re on Netflix now. Or when you hit the snooze button on your phone, you say yes to your warm and comfy bed and no to starting the day early which can lead to not being able to get in your invites for the day!

 

Remember: Time management creates a ripple effect of success!

 

When you say YES to one thing, you say No to something else.

 

 
4. Eliminate distractions and focus on important activities.

  • I turn the sound off on my iphone.
  • I turn off the sound on my computer.
  • Mute the notifications on Facebook.
  • Only open the window you need to work in right now.
  • Set a time limit for each task.
  • Keep yourself focused on the goal in mind.
  • Work from a to do list.
  • Always ask yourself this question:  Is this a time wasting activity or a business building activity?

 

 

 

 

Here are some additional tips:

Instead of creating a to-do list with 25 items, re-focus your attention to the top 3 most important things to do for the day that are going to bring you the most value.

 

 

If you’re a Beachbody coach reading this, I want you to think about the 3 vital behaviors:

  • Inviting is the secret sauce to this business. The more that you invite the better you become at the skill and the more efficient you are at making the connection with others.
  • Be a product of the product.
  • Do your personal development daily.

 

 

If you don’t do those things with passion and consistency, your business won’t grow and you won’t have anything to manage. The only thing you’re going to manage is mindlessly scrolling thru your news feed or your phone.

Look at each day with a purpose and go into it with a plan! If we fail to plan, we’re basically planning to fail.
