I don’t know about you but I have been waiting very patiently for the launch of Team Beachbody’s newest home fitness program, CORE DE FORCE. Week 1 was a SUCCESS!!!! And now we are on to week 2!!! I am still sore! My muscles are hurting, but in the best way because I know that I am working so hard! I am 100% committed to my workouts and my nutrition!! This week I get to add an extra fruit to each day! And when I can add food, it’s a good day!!
So far, I have zero complaints! I am really enjoying the kicking, punching, push ups, ab work (HOLY CRAPOLA- I thought I had strong abs… I might have been wrong after this!!) Of course I will post some videos below of some of the moves and also my meal plan for this week!! It’s short and sweet!! And I LOVE it all!!
THIS PROGRAM IS FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO DO THE WORK! There is a MODIFIER who breaks down all of the moves, does them slower and there is no jumping or high impact! Can I please take a minute to SCREAMMMM from the top of my lungs how VITAL eating the proper foods and portions is for your body, mind and results!!! If you are planning to do the workout, but not change your eating habits, then sorry to say– you’re not going to have much change! I used to be that girl who seriously would pop in the workout or go to the gym, but never pay attention to the meal plan that came with it.
I had many reasons WHY I didn’t do it. Here are a few:
It looked really hard.
Eat 5-6 times a day? no way.
I didn’t even know how to pronounce some of the foods! SO I just had a bad taste in my mouth…
I thought that since I was working out I could just eat whatever I wanted to eat.
I really just thought I could out workout a bad diet.
I THOUGHT I was eating healthy (WRONG. omg. WRONGGGG.)
Basicallly, when i finally just got to my breaking point because my stomach was hanging over my pants, I was pulling at my shirt NONSTOP so it wouldn’t saran wrap itself onto my stomach pudge, I was DISGUSTED when I looked at myself in the mirror, I didn’t want my hubby to see me naked, I basically just loathed what I saw in myself… I thought.. OKAY- well apparently working out alone isn’t doing CRAP… so i have to start making other changes.

So what does this mean??!! Well- it means that I wrapped up P90X3 after month 2 🙁 I’m sad about not finishing the full 90 days!! BUT It is so important for me to do the launch programs to show you guys just how incredible each and every workout program is and let’s be real- I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this one! I LOVE MMA style workouts and since this one was inspired by MMA moves- i’m all in!!
SO I started yesterday!!! Here is a preview of a mashup of day 1!! MMA SPEED!! I really loved it and I am definitely sore today after all of the moves!! It was barely 25 minutes and each round was only 3 minutes!! So it went really fast and I was for sure sweaty! If you want to learn more about this program- CLICK HERE!
Day 2 was today and DANG!! It was a lot of upper body work and I LOVED IT! Different variations of push ups and core work! YES PLEASE! Im honestly sore! Which is a good thing! And i’ve been on track with my meal plan too! Drinking water as I type this!
NOW! Let’s chat about the nutrition plan that comes with it! I swear- you cannot expect to feel your best, get great results or see changes if you don’t follow the nutrition plan! It is really easy to follow and not only is it all laid out for you in detail with your program kit, but if you join my challenge group with me as your coach then we customize the meal plan and focus on your triggers, what makes you want to just eat whatever and how we can work together at changing your mindset to understand that food doesn’t control you! You control it! And we get to trick our minds into thinking that the healthy meals taste like cheats 😉 Because I definitely love to take recipes and put a healthy spin on them while still tasting great!!!
What does the nutrition plan look like?!
Well! There are 4 Plans!! So have no fear! There is something for everyone!!
Step 1: We are going to figure out your calorie target!
What is your current weight then multiply that by 11 and that’s your starting point for calories.
You then take your calorie starting point and add 400 because that’s what you’re going to burn with each workout so that is reflecting your maintenance calories.
Then, take your maintenance calories and subtract 750 calories to give you a deficit and that’s your calorie target.
Then you’re going to figure out which category you will stick to based on that number!!
Let me add that you NEVER want to dip below 1200 calories! That will set your body into starvation mode! So the lowest bracket you will go is Plan A!
For me personally: I am in Plan A which means that I will eat:
3 servings of veggies a day
2 servings of fruit a day
4 servings of protein a day
2 servings of carbs per day
1 serving of healthy fat per day
1 serving of seeds/dressing per day
2 servings of oils/nut butters per day
NOW! Once you have this figured out you want to create a meal plan! The first few times I did that it was SO HARD for me! Like literally it caused me anxiety trying to plan out a weeks worth of meals!! But, it was because it was out of my comfort zone and I had never done it before! After a few times, it got easier and now it is part of my routine! And it saves me at least 8-10 hours in the kitchen each week because I prep the things that I can do on one day each week vs. making each meal individually each day!
Core De Force Meal Plan A
SAMPLE DAY OF EATING:
Breakfast: Plain Greek Yogurt with Berries (1 Red, 1 Purple)
Mid Afternoon Snack: Shakeology with 1 tsp of almond butter (1 Red, 1 tsp.)
Dinner: Grilled Chicken, Steamed Green Beans and a Baked Sweet Potato with cinnamon (1 Red, 1 Green, 1 Yellow)
Remember: Food is FUEL! You are supposed to keep your body filled with proper nutrients! it revs up metabolism, stops the cravings and makes you feel better!! Stay away from processed foods, sugars and too many carbs!! Try to stick with WHOLE FOODS! A great resource is the Whole 30 book! I am using it in my own modified way and I really love it!!

I remember joining as a coach and signing up for my first challenge group both at the same time 3 years ago. I was completely blind to social media and what a challenge group was or even how it was really going to help me, but I decided I had no more excuses left and everything worth having in life takes work- so this was what I was going to do to change.
Not only was I personally making a commitment to working towards losing 15 pounds, but I needed a JOB. And coaching was going to give me what I needed to provide for my family while working ON MYSELF!
I was determined to par the course of my home workout program, I was going to drink Shakeology everyday and I was going to commit to figuring out this whole clean eating lifestyle. I was at the breaking point where I had to do something and I had to do it now!
We didn’t have the money for me to join a gym and with 2 small kids at home and I wasn’t about to pack them up, cart them to the gym on base (30 min away one way) for a class. I knew myself, I would stick with it for a week and then quit! So I figured this was a better bet!
I didn’t have a workout space designated, but I made room in our living room at first- pushing the coffee table aside and popping the DVD into the DVD player to workout!
Every morning I would try my best to get up and workout, but if it didn’t happen then- when I put Maddie down for a nap I went to the living room and pressed play!
It was ugly at first, I was out of shape, I cried, and I wanted to quit! I was filled with constant anxiety and worry over LIFE, a hubby who was deploying all the time and I needed this to become my sanity!!
So, the one thing I kept saying is this, “I wanted to change more than I wanted to stay the same”. The spare tire around my waist was enough to make me want to KEEP GOING. And that feeling like a busted can of biscuits had to go away or I was going to go insane. I just wanted some CONFIDENCE!! Was that too much to ask ?!
So every day I pushed play, I had faith in the process! I knew that if I followed the workout calendar and the nutrition guide I would get results. It was tested and proven! For me going to the gym meant wandering around aimlessly doing random machines hoping what I was doing would produce results. Then I would come home and eat back all my burned off calories! I had no idea how nutrition played into my results.
So 90 days later, 10 lbs gone, faith in the process, a genuine love for challenge groups and coaching I became a believer! I was skeptical that a home fitness program would work but honestly when you make fitness, nutrition, and accountability the way that Beachbody does it, the only way you won’t succeed is if you don’t follow the plan!!!!!
