Black Friday Sales Start TODAY!

I don’t know about you, but I am seriously so excited that this week kicks off the holiday season! Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years are my favorite holidays and one of the huge perks- Black Friday Sales! Who is with me?!! I am not one to rush out to the stores at 3 am, but I do know that a good sale is always exciting! My Top 6 Tips To Get Motivated To Workout

When I hear people tell me that working out just comes so naturally to me- I kinda want to cringe! Nothing really comes naturally to anyone- but with the right mindset it is easier to see WHY making it a priority everyday is so important!!

Do you want to workout? Do you want to get yourself onto a good routine and stop the rat race of excuses that fly everyday?

Here are are my 6 tips that get me motivated to workout everyday and i’m going to share them with you. Remember- these are things that have to be done consistently over time before they become a habit! It takes 3 weeks to create a habit! After 3 weeks of trying to escape your new workout routine- you’ll begin to embrace it! Trust me 🙂

 

1. Set a goal! What do you want to see happen? Lose 10 pounds or maybe more? Tone up and feel better? Now- break them down into small weekly goals! Is it to lose 1 pound a week? 2 pounds a week? Celebrate every reached goal- THEN VISUALIZE your GOALS! It is so important to visualize how you are going to feel once you’ve accomplished your goals! What will you look like? What will you enjoy doing differently after you reach your goals?
Write them down- stick them all over your house- print pics if that will help and keep your eye on the prize!!

Hands down- JUST MOVE!! You’ve gotta get the excuses out!

2. Wear cute workout clothes! Motivational tanks are my fave! Cute Nike Pro shorts- matching sports bra- really whatever it takes! I swear- when you look cute- you feel cute! Target, Fabletics, TJ Maxx,  Marshalls, Victorias Secret, Dicks, Academy, Nike, Outlet Malls— these are a few of my favorite places to shop!!

3. You’ve gotta LOVE your workout program. You really do! If you are someone who is into cardio, but you’re trying to do a Yoga program- it’s not going to motivate you to get your butt out of bed and get it done! Or if it’s something that you’ve done over and over again- you’re not going to want to do it and you’ll put it off until later… then later never comes.
For me- I love kickboxing, weight training and HIIT type workouts. I choose my program based on my goals! If you need some help choosing something- reach out and let me know- I can help.

4. PREWORKOUT.

Oh My Gosh. Seriously- I used to be closed minded and would never even consider taking a pre workout. I had heard horror stories from some people and I wasn’t going to use anything… UNTIL on day I did my own research and took the advice of some friends and other health professionals and went in for the kill. I made sure that all of the ingredients were all natural and I chose Beachbody’s Energy and Endurance. AHHHH!!! It is my life saver! It’s hard NOT to workout when my energy kicks in from that and when I’m done- I don’t crash and burn. It’s prefect for me, but remember- for some a cup of coffee is a great pre workout too!

5.  GET A WORKOUT BUDDY!!! Seriously- accountability partners are KEY! We have to be surrounded by like minded people! Get a friend and start to get your workout on! A simple text in the morning telling each other to get out of bed works wonders!!

6. You’ve gotta know WHY you are doing this. Your WHY has to be something so strong that on the days when you feel like giving up- the days when you feel like eating the ice cream or going through the drive thru- it’s what keeps you grounded and away from the bad.

Ask yourself- WHY is now the time that you are ready to change? That why is really your self motivation. You can have all of the support you need with coaches, friends, family members cheering you on, but if it’s not right in your mind- then you will never succeed. Hard core TRUTH! I know from personal experience. The why will be what will help you get back up and brush yourself off when you fall- because you WILL fall! It happens, it’s life! We get back up and start fresh the next day. Your results will come from 1st- mindset, 2nd- putting in the work for your workouts AND don’t forget the thing that controls 80% of your results… YOUR NUTRITION! You have to eat properly and follow a meal plan. I fought that part for so long- well I never reached my goals until I changed up what I was eating and drinking!

My AHA Moment

Tonight- I had a totally ‘aha’ moment as I sat at my kitchen table listening to our Monday night Dream Team call. I had one of those moments where the past year flooded through my mind and it really HIT me– the hard work I have been putting in, the time I spend helping my challengers, my new coaches, my emerging leaders and my seasoned leaders–every step Ive taken really has mattered. 


The one thing that caused that MOMENT for me– as she was talking about the Leadership Retreat that the leaders of Beachbody are going to in Arizona this week… the Leadership Retreat that I qualified for and was invited to in May of this year–

I remember exactly one year ago- sitting in the same spot at the same dining room table.. listening to my mentor talk about how she and a few other leaders on her team were going to this AMAZING ALL EXPENSE PAID LEADERSHIP RETREAT and I just WISHED I could go too. So at that moment last year- i wrote down that I WOULD BE THERE NEXT YEAR. 

One year later- here I am- preparing for this amazing trip with my husband to go and ‘run with the big dogs’ this weekend. It seems so surreal. I feel like ‘why me?’– but then as soon as those ‘why me’s’ enter my head I quickly say out loud- WHY NOT ME!?!!

This is a blessing. A gift. An opportunity. I can’t imagine where my life would be at this moment had I not taken a leap of faith 15 months ago on this whole ‘coaching thing.’
I can about bet we would be bankrupt and still struggling to dig our way out of the hole that we were in. I can bet that we would still be BROKE and fighting about money. I can bet that I would still be feeling defeated everyday. Feeling like there was no way off the hamster wheel. 

BUT- I made a choice– Dustin Bozzo and I made a choice– for me to dive in. All in. And build this team from the ground up. I had 147 FB friends, I didn’t know how to copy/paste, I didn’t know how to use YouTube and I certainly had no idea what a blog even was!

BUT I LEARNED. I read personal development EVERYDAY and still do andI changed my mindset. NO EXCUSES. I took baby steps. I just decided that FAILURE WASN’T AN OPTION.

Here I am. My dreams are coming true. My team is in full bloom and I love that each and every person brings a different dynamic to who and what we are all about 

Life is all in what you make of it. What do you choose? 

Will you choose to join my team? Will you choose something better? Do you want to be a leader? A mentor? Do you want to help just ONE person change their life?
WHY NOT YOU?

Are You Living Your Life With Purpose?

Are you ready to live your life with value and purpose?
I want you to close your eyes and imagine this:
You call the shots in all areas of your life. 
You are the one to take your kids to school everyday. 
You are the one who is watching your baby take her first steps– not someone else. 
You are not stressed about the bills each month. 
You  buy that extra watermelon that your kids love so much because you don’t have to be on such a tight budget all the time. 
You are taking a couple of family vacations each year and making time to go on a few weekend getaways with just you and your spouse.
You get to sleep in if you like. 
When you are sick- you don’t have to stress about someone else covering your work load. 
When you just want to take an unexpected day off- you do — and you don’t worry about it. 
You are living debt free.
You are helping change people’s lives and saving some along the way. 
You are working from home- in your yoga pants– coffee in hand while Frozen is on and your little girls are singing along. 
You are happy- everyday. 
You are fit and healthy- because you know it is a treat for your body and because you are getting paid to live the lifestyle. 
YOU. ARE. FREE.
Okay- open your eyes. Now- you are back to reality. 
Overcome the fear and you will go far!
What does your life look like right now? Does the above that I just talked about you seem impossible? Are you totally stressed about finances? Are you rolling your eyes thinking “HAPPY? YEAH RIGHT! We are meant to be miserable in this life?”
NO! WE ARE MEANT TO LIVE OUR OWN LIVES! Ones that we create! Ones that we can ENJOY and LOVE!
It’s time that you see that big picture and it’s time for you to get started. 
Living my life by design.
Now- DON’T PANIC! This really is a transition that is so WORTH the efforts. I can promise you that. From a girl who went from almost filing bankruptcy last year to someone who is about to submit a payment to pay off the VERY LAST credit card I have– I will have a total debt payoff of $14,000.00 since mid February. From someone who was completely depressed and miserable a year and a half ago– to a woman who THRIVES on LIFE! Who finds the good in everything and who lives passionately about almost EVERYTHING! Not a bad gig. 
Want to know how I’ve done it? And how I promise you– you can too?– If you really want it? 
When you commit to making success your only option it becomes the only thing that is in the forefront of your mind. Am I right?
It really makes no difference what kind of journey you are on! If you are starting out in your health and fitness journey or if you are about to sign up as a brand new coach- you have this FIRE that is inside you! You can feel the passion! You are already visualizing your success! You see the big picture and you can’t wait to get there!! You are motivated. Ignited. SET IN FLAMES! Your dreams are big and your goals are SCARY! And you now that you will 100% make it. There is no other option.
And the day comes- you are ready! It’s here! You open that package of your challenge pack or you log in to your back office as a brand new coach and — SCAARRREEEETTTTCHHHHHH. HALT. OH EM GEEEE! 
I can’t do this. 
FEAR creeps in. The reality that you live creeps in. The NEGATIVE voices creep in. And YOU start to believe them. 
WHY?!!!!
What in the gosh darn world are you afraid of? 
FAILING??? I fail EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. I just fail forward. I make sure that I am learning from my big fat failures and I move on!
Are these thought running through your mind–
UGH! I talked to one person about this fitness and nutrition thing and they rolled their eyes. 
I asked someone to join the accountability group with me and she said no. 
I am so darn shy, there is no way I can ‘be like you.’
I have no time. 
My kids have soccer practice 4 days a week, my husband works late, I don’t have a babysitter, my dog got loose, I HAVE EXCUSES…
I don’t know everything about fitness and nutrition.
I don’t know how to do meal plans. 
I don’t know very many people. 
So and so would never want to hear about what I am doing as a challenger or as a coach.
I can’t work a computer very good. 
I am not like you???
I don’t have very many Facebook friends. 
Social Media is scary.
I’m broke. 
I am so afraid of what other people will think or say about me.
And my all time fave— I DON’T WANT TO SELL PEOPLE STUFF.
Trust me- the list could continue, but I will stop there. 
Listen guys- I am NOT PERFECT IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM. But I have LEARNED a lot over the years. I used to live my life solely on what others thought of me. I used to care so much that I would make myself sick over what they ‘might be thinking’ about me. I would cry over ‘spilt milk’ as they say and never understood why it would affect me so much.
Now- after learning so much about myself- I believe it was always because I have a genuine heart and I seriously just want everyone to KNOW ME and my INTENTIONS. And that they are true to my core. So, I have realized something pretty life changing– NOT EVERYONE WILL LIKE ME. And that is OKAY! Not everyone clicks. It’s not something to be ashamed of or feel bad about! It’s life! I know that my life is lived for me and to better myself and my family. Along the way I intend to HELP as many people who want it and as many people who will work for it. Period! No excuses. No pity parties. No whining about things out of our control! And I want to help you realize this about yourself too 🙂 We are all people, capable of making decisions that will better us as a person!! So, why not start now? Why NOT you?!!
So- I’ve learned to rethink my life. I’ve learned to say– what is the worst someone can do?? Tell me NO? What happens if I fail? Well– i’m failing forward! I will always be reading personal development to better myself, my business, my finances, my family, my life! I am living my life by my own design. Who else can say that at 30 years old? YOU CAN– but will you?
So- answer these questions and really dig deep. WHY IN THE HECK WILL YOU LET FEAR FUEL YOU?!! Don’t do that! LIVE YOUR LIFE!! Will you really allow fear to steal your success? Because yes- I can tell you– if you surrender and make changes– you will succeed all while constantly FAILING!! Because failing is not bad! Failing is good as long as you are learning and moving forward! Make sense?!

I take pride in the fact that I have a totally unconventional job. It just makes sense for me. It can make sense for you too- if you are striving to help people change their lives and ultimately– help SAVE lives. You learn to be a great leader and grow into a person you may have always wanted to be– but just didn’t know how. I love that I have found my passion. I love that God called me to do this! He has qualified me to do my job and do it as best as I can and for that.. I am just so grateful. 
This is my job description:
Wake up- workout- post on Facebook- check in with my challenge groups and coaches- write a blog post- read some of my book- play with my kids- go to the pool- take a nap if I choose- talk on the phone or video chat with some of my best friends who are fellow coaches- be at home with my family- eat dinner together- put my babes to bed- check in on FB and hang out with my hubby. — Rough life- I KNOW! 
You too can: BE YOUR OWN BOSS, make your own schedule, set your own hours, build an amazing business brick by brick all while being mentored on ‘how’ to do it… pretty cool deal! Don’t you think?
Now- this is not meant for everyone! Far from it! You have to be passionate about it. You have to want it. You have to take the time to build. And let me tell you! IT IS SO WORTH IT ALL– but only if you are willing to work for it!

CLEAN EATING 101











Clean Eating
 The soul of clean eating is consuming food in its most natural state, or as close to it as possible. It is not a diet; it’s a lifestyle approach to food and its preparation, leading to an improved life – one meal at a time. Remember, 80 % of your weight loss is dependent upon the food you eat.  If you workout every day and eat unhealthy, you cannot expect to get great results.  Your results come from the time, energy, and dedication you put into exercise and eating! 

Why Eat Clean?

Feel good about yourself
Reduce your risk of heart disease and diabetes, and many other diseases
Have more energy
Reduce the large percentage of obesity
Save money on fad diets that do not keep your weight off
Live a longer life for your husband, children, significant other, and family
When they say you are what you eat, it is not a joke.  It is really something to think about.  If you eat cheeseburgers every day, your body is going to look and feel like one.  If you fill your body with vegetables, your going to most likely feel good, have energy, an look thinner as well!!  
How to Eat Clean:
Drink at least two liters of water a day (8 cups).  Also, limit your alcohol intake to one glass of antioxidant-rich red wine a day. Eat five to six times a day- Eat every 2-3 hours.  Three meals and two to three small snacks. Include a lean protein, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, and a complex carbohydrate with each meal. This keeps your body energized and burning calories efficiently all day long. If it’s hard for you to do 8 cups, really focus on getting 1/2 of your body weight in ounces of water each day! It’s vital!


NEVER miss a meal, ESPECIALLY breakfast!!
Carry a cooler loaded with clean-eating foods to get you through the day (if you have the food handy, no excuse for stopping at fast food, pop machine/candy machine or eating other unhealthy food).
Get label savvy- Clean foods contain just one or two ingredients. Any product with a long ingredient list is human-made and not considered clean.
Avoid processed and refined foods- This includes white flour, sugar, bread and pasta. Enjoy complex carbohydrates such as whole grains instead.
Know thy enemies- Steer clear of anything high in saturated and trans fats, anything fried or anything high in sugar.
Avoid calorie-dense food that has no nutritional value
Shop with a conscience- Consume humanely raised and local meats.
Depend on fresh fruits and veggies for fiber, vitamins, and enzymes.
Consume healthy fats- Try to have essential fatty acids every day.
Learn about portion sizes- Work towards eating within them.
Reduce your carbon footprint- Eat produce that is seasonal and local. It is less taxing on your wallet and our environment.
Slow down and savor- Never rush through a meal. Food tastes best when savored. Enjoy every bite!
Make it a family affair- Food is a social glue that should be shared with loved ones. Improve the quality of your family’s life along with your own.
Portions



Proteins- You should have a protein in each meal.  Your body can handle 25 grams of protein with each meal.
Carbohydrates- You should have between 2-4 servings of complex carbs from grains, bread, and starches per day.  When it comes to complex carbs such as fruits and veges, you should have one serving with each meal, which comes out to 6 servings per day
Fats- Your diet should include 20-30% of fats from your daily food intake.  Avoid trans fats completely.  Saturated fats is not completely bad for you and should have 30 grams or less per day.
Going grocery shopping can be a challenge.  It is important to make a list so you know what your looking for and only get what is one your list.  You save money this way.  Also, there is nothing wrong with buying the off brand food- it is still the same thing!! Frozen is also fine to use, just do not go for canned food! High is sodium and other additives!!


Sometimes, it may seem difficult to eat clean, but having cookbooks handy, such as “The Eat-Clean Diet Cookbook” by Tosca Reno or “The Best of Clean Eating” from the Clean Eating Magazine, are some great books with amazing recipes for you and the family!!
Healthy/Clean Snack Ideas!



   Water is another big factor that plays a part of your weight loss.  Water helps with suppressing your appetite, helps with digestion and relieving the “bloating” feeling people get quite often, flushes the toxins out of your body, and also helps with those cravings!  If you take your weight and divide by 2, you should be drinking that in ounces each day.  Now that does not count if you are pop or coffee drinkers, then you will need additional!!  But why bother putting all that caffeine and artificial flavors/sweeteners when you are trying to flush the toxins out of your body?  Try to stick to just water… it helps tremendously.. and if you are use to caffeine intake and need more energy, try using lemon water, especially first thing in the morning and can be drank through out the day.  Also, using green tea is awesome to help with your cravings (especially at night) and is made of all natural ingredients!  I promise you, if you get rid of the coffee and pop, or even cut down at least in half, you will notice a big difference with your feelings of bloat and cravings for more caffeine and junk!! In taking artificial sweeteners only makes you crave more, so get rid of it all together!!
