Design YOUR Life

I embraced this amazing opportunity of freedom 16 months ago… and I SO BADLY want other women to take advantage of it too.
At first- I was dragging my feet… saying ‘yes! I am going to do this!’ But then fear held me back for a little bit– fear of the unknown!

Was this real? I had done so many other ‘home businesses’ in the past and quit them all. I wasn’t PASSIONATE about jewelry, bags, makeup, etc! Helping people- working out- nutrition- those are my passion!

I am confident that I can teach you exactly HOW to build amazing success with Beachbody– not because I think that I know it all.. HARDLY, but because I have done it and you can too. This is a busies that will allow you to have FREEDOM and ‘you call the shots’ in your life. To say that this is a blessing is an understatement.
I choose very carefully who I spend my time with because I make sure that I am 150% DEDICATED to helping my coaches who WANT to succeed– SUCCEED in this business. I am BLESSED to be able to meet so many amazing coaches.

This business is my baby. Beachbody has FOREVER changed our lives. My family and I were once living in a mountain of debt. One paycheck- a stay at home mom, two kids, two dogs, a mortgage, two car payments, student loans, credit cards.. we had it all. We are NOT proud of that time in our lives, BUT we are proud to say that we have dug our way out of almost $20,000 worth of debt in less than one year and if we can do it– you can do it too.
Beachbody has forever changed our lives.
We no longer live paycheck to paycheck.
We are not only setting ourselves up for success, but we are teaching our kids how to live better, manage their little ‘commissions’ and just be positive!
My husband now has options in his career choice.

Best part– we have FREEDOM. That has been my goal- to just create a life of freedom. To be free to be home with my family. To be free to live how we want! To be free to help others in so many different ways! That is my GOAL for life

Beachbody is not just my ‘job’– B
eachbody is my life. Beachbody can be your life too.

Hands down- joining this company was the best choice I’ve ever made. Rewarding is an understatement. I have met my BEST FRIENDS through this business. Do you know how amazing it is to be surrounded by LIKE MINDED people? Those who lift you up? We help each other! We INVEST in others to help them succeed. That is our job! We TRUST in each other and make a difference!

Legacy United is our incredible team. We are stitched together with mommies, teachers, professionals (some of those ‘business professionals’ have already quit their full time jobs to build their beachbody business and be at home with their kids), personal trainers, nurses, dog mommies and so many more! We are NOT AFRAID of where this journey is taking us! We are driven, fierce, compassionate, hard working, determined individuals. FEAR is not allowed in our team! We EMBRACE this life, dream and DRIVE! We are creating our freedom and LIVING A LIFE BY DESIGN!

I’m your mentor, your leader, your coach when you join Legacy United.
This month-I am mentoring just FIVE– because I want MORE TIME with each of them!
It’s incredible what can happen with this business. It is MY RESPONSIBILITY to share this with other people! And that goes for everyone– even those skeptics! Because I WAS ONE! And now- I am in the top 5% of all of Beachbody.
I choose to pay it forward and share this blessing with others who are struggling just like I was.
I didn’t have the skills or the knowledge to be a business owner…but I did have…
-A desire to do MORE with my life
-A desire to have FREEDOM
This business isn’t for the QUALIFIED… its for those who are COACHABLE and not looking for a “Get RICH Quick Scheme!”
It’s for the person who is willing to TAKE RISKS and learn as they go!
You don’t have to be EXACTLY like me but I am looking to connect with women who can RELATE to me because I KNOW that I can lead them effectively and I also know I will ENJOY working with them!
If you….
– KNOW you were meant for something greater…
– WANT to create independence and freedom for your family or maybe your future family, BUT also feel a calling to give back and help others!
– Want to live by DESIGN: Be your own boss- work when you want, where you want doing what you LOVE!
– COACHABLE and willing to spend a year making short-term sacrifices in order to spend the rest of your life enjoying long-term success!
If you are reading this and you hear that little voice….and your gut is telling you to GO FOR IT…I want to to hear from you!

Flank Steak Stir Fry

This is what’s for dinner tonight!!

We love our Chinese food around here, but come on… let’s face it– there is so much sodium in that stuff that we are bloated and feeling gross for days after eating it! So, my hubby and I like to put our own spin on stir fry!!

I am sharing this recipe with you to help you make your own delicious dinner without the guilt! It is healthy and so good! And as always, kid approved!!!

2-inch slice fresh ginger, peeled, finely chopped
3 1/2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper
2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
1 Tbsp. raw honey
¼ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 tsp. sesame seed oil
1½ lbs. flank steak

1 bunch of broccoli
1 red bell pepper
1 yellow bell pepper
sliced or julienne carrots (as many as you’d like)
brown rice

Cut steak into strips.

Combine ingredients and marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator. Cook to your liking.

Cut the broccoli and peppers up into chunks and add it to the stir fry about 5-8 minutes before it is finished cooking! We like ours to still have a little ‘crunch’ to them!

Serve over a bed of brown rice!

I must say.. Mexican Food is my ALL TIME FAVORITE! We seriously eat it about 3 times a week at my house. No joke! I really think that my family and I are going to someday turn into a taco!  One thing we really RARELY do is actually go out to eat mexican food though because of all the added sodium and fat in the fajitas, enchiladas, etc! So, I have learned how to make our favorite meals in a clean way that is equally delicious! Now, we prefer ‘momma’s cookin’ over the real deal any day! So, here we go. One super simple easy dinner that my kids LITERALLY request every single day!

Easy Peasy Turkey Tacos!

1 pound ground turkey
1 packet taco seasoning
1/3 cup water

1. Brown and chop up the turkey meat on the stove.
2. Add the taco seasoning and water.
3. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
4. EAT!!

Ummm… how easy is that?

We serve them on tortillas or hard shell tacos! My kids love the hard shells! We put lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, plain greek yogurt, black beans and taco sauce on ours. We really just load them up! It is a super healthy meal, so that is why we eat it so often! The black beans amp up the protein even more than just the meat alone and the fiber in the beans is always a plus! Lots of veggies is a must and I usually make some asparagus to go with them as a side.
Super yummy and FAST 🙂

Week 1: Body Beast/ T25 Hybrid

Week 1: Body Beast/T25 Hybrid
I am so excited to be changing up the routine this week! I was planning to start Body Beast last Monday, but I hurt my back on Sunday morning, so that idea flew out the window! So, I have mended myself back to normal and I am so excited to get started!  So, I was going to just do Body Beast, but I decided that since we are going into the peak of the holiday season, I will do a hybrid so I can really focus on getting my lifting in and on those few days a week when time is of the essence, I will do a T25 workout! WIN WIN! I have never done Body Beast, so this is really exciting for me! I have a few friends who are in the second phase and they LOVE IT and are getting INSANE results! I can’t wait to really pump my muscles.
This week I am going to be focusing solely on perfect form and also staying spot on with my meal plan. It is the start of the holiday season and I refuse to put on any extra holiday fluff! That is not going to happen to this girl and I don’t want it to happen to you either! This is a joyous time to spend with friends and family! To be thankful for everything and to know that we are all so blessed! With that being said, let’s not allow this season to get the bets of us! Don’t allow your season to revolve around FOOD! Food is not that special! I know, I know.. we all get excited about Grandma’s special pumpkin pie and Aunt Sally’s famous sugar cookies! That is perfectly okay!! BUT, what we don’t want to do is focus so much on them that we end up eating the whole tray of cookies ourselves!

I want to give you a suggestion. Set a number of cookies that you are going to allow yourself to have this holiday season. From now until January 1st, what is an acceptable number of treats you can give yourself that will make you feel satisfied, but not stuffed? Is that number 12? 15? 20? Choose your number and write it down! PUT IT IN YOUR PHONE!!! And after each sweet treat you eat, cross of a 1,2,3… etc! That will really make you be aware of what is going into your mouth!! AND I bet that you will find yourself being more mindful of which treat goes to your lips. Is it worth eating that walmart cooking when you know next weekend Grannie will have her homemade goodies?? NO! It’s all about eating what you want in moderation and also paying attention to what you are eating 🙂 Hope that little tip helps!

HERE IS MY SCHEDULE THIS WEEK!!!! November 25th- December 1st 🙂
Body Beast Build Week / Focus T25

  • Day 1: BB Build: Chest/Tris + Fit Club in the Evening- T25: Cardio
  • Day 2: BB Build: Legs
  • Day 3: BB Build: Back/Bis
  • Day 4: T25: Speed 2.0
  • Day 5: BB: Build: Shoulders / T25: Lower Focus
  • Day 6: BB Build: Chest/Tris + Ab Intervals
  • Day 7: Rest OR T25: Stretch OR T25: Core Speed
Back to the meal planning. It is really important to me to make sure that I am fueling my body properly. I like how I feel when I am getting in all of my veggies and fruits, when I am drinking my Shakeology everyday and when I am exercising! My body thanks me! Shoot, I have abs I didn’t know existed! I EAT and I DON’T FEEL DEPRIVED!! EVER!! I plan my cheat meals each week and I enjoy my life!
I do want you guys to focus on eating at least every 3 hours! It is so important to your body that you are eating because that is what gets your metabolism up and up!! Are you someone who says “I’m never hungry?” Well, that is probably because you are eating too many calories at one sitting and also your metabolism is not as fast as it could or possibly should be! Check out my meal plan to see how I plan my days of meals 🙂

So, I will be checking in with you all on my progress this week! I can’t wait to start getting my muscles really pumping and see what a difference I can make in my body! I like change and I can’t wait to share this with you! Stay tuned!!  And I have made a lot of progress so far!! I can’t wait to go further!! 🙂

This was always a staple around our house as a kid. I think that my mom made this dish at least every other week!! It is a great way to get a ton of vitamins and nutrients without going way overboard on calories. This is a ‘hearty’ dish without giving you a hearty waistline!!  My family eats it up and it is perfect for a cold winter night!!

Clean Eating Chicken And Dumplings
(Makes approximately 5 quarts)
Stew Ingredients:
6 cups low-sodium chicken broth (no sugar/dextrose added)
1 tablespoon marjoram
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts – cut into small chunks
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion – peeled and diced
4 large carrots, peeled and sliced
4 stalks celery, cleaned and sliced
1 cup peas, frozen works fine
1/2 cup corn, frozen is what I use
Dumpling Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup milk (any milk you typically use is fine. I use unsweetened almond milk.
Stew Directions:
Pour the broth into your crock pot (or into a large soup pot if cooking on a stove top).
Add the marjoram and garlic powder to the broth and turn the crock pot to high (stove top, bring to a slow boil)
In a pan, combine the olive oil, onion, carrots and celery. Saute until the onions are translucent.
Add the veggies and cut up chicken to the crock pot (or soup pot).
Dumpling Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Whisk to blend well.
Pour in the oil and milk and mix with a wooden spoon.
(Be sure the broth is hot before adding the dumplings to the pot) Using two teaspoons, scoop up and round off your dumplings and scrap into your pot. (Just like making drop cookies)
Stove Top Directions:
Boil until the dumplings and chicken are cooked.
Slow Cooker Directions:
Cook this on high for about 3-1/2 hours. But if you need to cook it longer because you are leaving for the day (or cooking overnight), turn the slow cooker to low and cook until the dumplings and chicken are cooked through. (My guess is about 6 hours). It’s important to know how your slow cooker cooks here. Every slow cooker is slightly different.
Also, the dumplings will look a little odd after they have been cooking at the top of the stew all day. They create a sort of “crust-like” cover. Just break them up with a wooden spoon and stir them into the stew to finish cooking. Simply break one open to be sure it’s cooked all the way through.
